Gallery Visits
MIAD
I had the opportunity to visit MIAD ( Milwaukee Insitute of Art and Design) I also got a tour around MIAD, I got to visit the architecture room, the teacher there explained how everything in the room was made by students. There was a tree house inside, he also explained the students steps and procedures. How at first, the class starts with basic projects and make their way to advanced and challenging projects. Next, there was a room of freshman artwork displayed. At the top left, is a series of photos, relating the artists culture and traditions with Frida Kahlos culture as well. At the top right, the artists sculptures was to represent peacefulness by the colors chosen and the abstract shape of the art. Throughout the school itself is filled of artwork and showing it to visitors. I took pictures of those who catched my attention and wanted to see what the artists message was. For the top left,I think it's showing a messages to the teenagers, or his friends his demon side or perhaps a second face. On the other side there's multiple pictures of different artists. However they were suppose to represent a social media used, from the way I saw it.....
There's Snapchat, Instagram and Pinterest. I see how it also shows how society uses it or takes advantage of it, Snapchat maybe for nudes, Pinterest is mainly used for baking/cooking videos, and Instagram for outfit pictures "ootd".

The Ronald Reagan seniors went to Stevens Point to present their artwork. However I got to talk to two of them.
In the middle top picture is by Bladimir Contreras, he said that he did this because it was easy, and also because he doesn't like to blend in colors. Materials he used were stencils and spray paint, he was inspired by a street punk artist Shepard Fairy , owner of OBEY.
In the middle bottom is by Michelle Alanis's self portrait inspired by Frida Kahlo's self portrait in 1949. However she said it was very challenging to blend and gave me the advice to no procrastinate.
